Not-so-secretly Admired: Fortune Knowledge Group and Momentum are joining forces to produce a new event called the “Most Admired Marketers Summit” taking place June 16 in New York City.  The event is being described as an “experiential peer and thought leadership platform” that will provide “insight for making marketing an enterprise-level growth driver, while simultaneously promoting long-term value.”  Qualified VP and C-level marketing executives will receive will receive complimentary registration. The organizers are hoping that the exchange format will facilitate the interchange of “best-in-class strategies, tools and practices.”

Forbes on Farming: Forbes has announced that the AgTech Summit will return to Salinas, California in 2016.  On July 13 – 14 it will again convene 400+ farmers, scientists, investors and inventors to discuss the challenges and opportunities when considering how to feed a world of 10 billion people.

Conference Cancellations: Due to security concerns and limited transportation in Brussels, Belgium, the IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress, which had been scheduled for 30 November– 1 December was cancelled. The Substance LA conference, which had been scheduled for 4 March 2016 was also cancelled. The conference organizers decided to put all of their resources towards their Interzone Conference and a new event called Technique that will take place in September.

Speaking Opportunity:  Strata+Hadoop World in London is currently accepting speaker proposals through December 11. At this event, focused on big data and analytics, you will find “data scientists, analysts, and executives from innovative companies of all sizes.” You can read submission tips and guidelines here.
