Advertising Week Heads East: The calendar has finally been posted for Advertising Week’s debut in Toyko from 30 May – 2 June. The Tokyo Midtown complex in central Tokyo will host the daytime conference program, but evening events will happen across the city. To see the full line up of sessions and events, click here.

Carriers Carry On: Terrapinn Pte Ltd has announced that Carriers World Asia, which celebrated its 18th anniversary in March of 2016, will be rebranded as Telecoms World Asia moving forward.  This name change was a result of the industry’s transformation “in preparation of a digital future.” The 2017 conference dates have not yet been announced, but we know that it will return to Bangkok sometime in March of next year.

Speaking Opportunity:  The 6th Annual EventTech Conference, which focuses entirely on “using social media and technology to enhance live events” has opened its call for speakers.  The event will take place from 14 – 16 November in Las Vegas and will attract more than 1000 event marketers. The conference organizers are interested in topic ideas that will “give attendees a full perspective on applying technology, social media and digital tools to events and trade shows.” Submit by 17 June following guidelines found here.
