Dream Come True: If you are headed to CES in a couple weeks, be sure to check out the newest addition to the conference – the Sleep Tech Marketplace.  Announced by The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) earlier this fall, the new Marketplace will be presented by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) and will include the latest innovations in sleep trackers, smart beds, etc. The Sleep Tech Marketplace at CES 2017 will take place from 5 – 7 January in Las Vegas.

Techonomy Returns to NYC: In 2016 Techonomy held its first event in its hometown of New York City.  The one day event was a more concentrated version of the Techonomy Conference that happens in Half Moon Bay each November.  After a successful debut,  media company has announced that they will again host a NYC event in 2017. The conference, tentatively scheduled for mid-May, will add another day of content in 2017which will be focused specifically on innovations in healthcare. Updates will be posted on Techonomy’s event site soon.

Speaking Opportunity: DevWorld 2017 NYC Conference & Expo, which the event organizers describe as having the potential to be “New York City’s largest developer conference of 2017” has opened its call for speakers.  Content tracks at DevWorld will include the Application Development track, the Fintech Dev Summit, the media Dev Summit, and the Artificial Intelligence Dev Summit.  Submit speaker proposals by the first round deadline of 24 February completing this form.

Coming Up Next:  The world’s largest power generation event, Power Generation Week, will be in Orlando from 11 – 15 December.  The week consists of 5 events including Power-Gen International, Renewable Energy World International, Nuclear Power International, Coal-Gen, and GenForum. On 14 December, AtlanticLive will take on Silicon Valley’s diversity challenge with their workshop called Inclusion in Silicon Valley.  Also next week, the Conference Board will convene business leaders at its Performance Management Summit, where they will “address the needs of the organization and employee.”
