Global Gathering Greatness: The team behind Fortune events will be combining two of their most popular events, Brainstorm TECH and Fortune Global Forum, to create a new conference experience. Brainstorm TECH International will be their new conference in Guangzhou, China from 5 – 6 December 2017. According to the organizers, “the launch of Brainstorm TECH International is being co-located and timed to coincide with the 2017 Fortune Global Forum, which will gather the CEOs of the world’s biggest companies and top leaders from China and beyond.”

Off-The-Record: TechCrunch has announced that a new segment of Disrupt San Francisco will debut at the September conference – Off the Record sessions. These moderated Q&A sessions and networking receptions, open to all Disrupt SF attendees, will showcase “top founders and investors making waves” within one of the following categories: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Cryptocurrencies/Blockchain, Biotech, Drones/Mobility, Privacy/Security and AR/VR. Interested parties may suggest a speaker through the end of July.

Speaking Opportunity: The 2017 IoT Device Security Summit, taking place in Santa Clara from 28 September, is accepting speaker proposals until 10 August. The conference will offer practical advice for tackling the “complex challenges of IoT design and implementations on device security.” Some of the topics of interest include: Hardware and Software Security Components; Using Security Frameworks and Dev Kits; Matching IoT Profiles with Security Requirements; and Understanding the Performance and Energy Impact of Security.  

Lunchtime Learning: Dublin Inspirefest self-described as “a unique international festival of technology, science, design and the arts, covering key trends from Infosec to Blockchain, AI to Robotics, Games to Professional Development.” The conference also includes the Fringe festival of live music, spoken word, and comedy.
