Protecting the Money: The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is a global cyber intelligence sharing community solely focused on financial services. They have added a new event to their line up with FinCyber Today. This virtual conference will focus on technologies and tools financial firms are using to protect against and recover from cyber incidents today. Scheduled for 3 November, FinCyber Today sessions will “follow-the-sun, opening in a Europe time-zone and concluding in a United States time-zone” so that participants can share knowledge about new tech and tactics across borders. Tracks will include Cloud (Migration/compliance), Emerging Tech (AI, Quantum, 5G) and Global Intel (Threat hunting/ransomware).
One (C)Suite Deal: Bringing the C-Suite Chief Executive Group (CEG), a community for America’s C-Suite leaders and corporate directors, has acquired The CFO Leadership Council, a professional association dedicated to empowering senior financial executives. With nearly 2,000 members across the United States the acquisition adds to CEG’s fast-growing roster of C-Suite communities. In 2021, CEG launched StrategicCFO360, StrategicCIO360 and StrategicCHRO360 to expand its reach. Each community has newsletters, live events, discussion groups and networking opportunities. According to Executive Chairman of the Chief Executive Group Wayne Cooper, “This partnership will allow us to better serve CFOs everywhere, uniting the power of their CFO chapters with the strength of our peer networks, editorial content and historical focus on leadership training, development and support.”
Speaking Opportunity: ISACA North America has opened its call for speakers for 2022. The event will be held from 4 – 6 May in New Orleans, LA and virtually. ISACA North America brings together experts and practitioners in the areas of audit, security, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, privacy, control and IT, from a wide range of industries, including finance, banking, tech services, government, insurance, medical and more. Speaker submissions are due by 3 September. They are looking for an interesting topic that has not been overly discussed, related to one of the following tracks: Audit, Governance, Information Security/Cybersecurity, Privacy, Information and Technology Risk, IT Fundamentals, CMMI, Process Improvement, Emerging Technologies, and Leadership, Development & Career Management.
Lunchtime Learning: Talks at GS is Goldman Sachs’ longest-running and most successful content series, offering a glimpse “into a different corner of the universe, as well as highlights the lived trials and triumphs of its accomplished guests.” Episodes run concurrently across the brand’s website, Hulu, Amazon, Yahoo Finance, Apple podcasts, Spotify and owned social channels– Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. Kicking off 2 September, IFA Berlin rivals the largest consumer electronics trade fairs in the world. This year, IFA offers Tech Up For Women, a conference format designed for women to learn from and connect with female top leaders, researchers & experts. A celebration of gaming and gaming culture, PAX West will run 3-6 September at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The IoT Tech Expo – which runs 6-7 September in London – is actually five co-located events in one covering IoT, 5G, Cyber Security & Cloud, Blockchain, AI & Big Data, plus the newly added Digital Transformation track. Finally, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference gets underway 9 September as a hybrid event, which participants can attend at the Las Vegas Convention Center or online.
