RAISING the Bar: Responsible AI Institute (RAI) is “the leading non-profit dedicated to advancing responsible AI from principles to practice through independent AI assessments, ratings and certifications.” Under the leadership of President Seth Dobrin the group is hoping to increase visibility of successful responsible AI efforts in organizations. For this reason they are hosting their annual event, RAISE 2022 at The AI Summit New York on 7 December. The event will bring together “technology leaders, board members, advisors, and RAI Partners with AI professionals from leading global organizations to dive into the latest innovations in design, tools, and methods for automated responsible AI governance and control.”

Headin Out West: When Chief Executive Group acquired The CFO Leadership Council last year, they were committed to expanding the community through content and events. Fulfilling that promise, they are hosting both an “East” and “West” CFO Leadership Council Conference in 2023. The CFO Leadership Council East, which has been the groups flagship event for years, will happen in Boston from 6 – 8 June. The new West event will be held in Phoenix from 2 – 4 October. Phoenix was selected because it is a bit more accessible to the CFOs from companies in the middle of the country but would still be fairly close for the West Coasters.

Speaking Opportunity: Open Data Science Conference/ODSC East is seeking ideas from subject matter experts who are innovating in and otherwise contributing to the growth of open-source software, and want to present in Boston from 9-11 May 2023. According to the organizers, “an ODSC speaker is someone with proven data science expertise and a strong ability to present the latest languages, tools, and models used in data science and AI for business.” Topics will be considered for both virtual and in-person speakers for solo talks, workshops, tutorials, and training sessions. Round one for speaker proposals closes 16 December, and while another round will open in January, organizers confide that submitting during the first open call for speakers is the best opportunity to get your session accepted for ODSC East.

Lunchtime Learning: Established in 2018 by Michael Bloomberg, the New Economy Forum is a community of global leaders engaging with the world’s most significant changes and challenges. The fifth annual Bloomberg New Economy Forum returned to Singapore last month to facilitate face-to-face discussion among world leaders to confront our global challenges. Their goal is “to foster a dynamic environment where innovation thrives, growth is sustainable, excesses are contained, outcomes are more equitable, and prosperity is shared.” And if you were not able to obtain an exclusive invitation, you may still watch the plenary sessions here.

Coming Up Next Week: Curated by FORTUNE editors, Brainstorm AI (5-6 December; San Francisco) sets out to “showcase how enterprises are making the leap from dabbling in A.I. to building a business-wide strategy around it by putting it into the hands of every worker.” As mentioned above, the AI Summit will run 7-8 December in NYC and offer attendees implementation stories as well as explore the challenges of artificial intelligence. At Forbes Healthcare Summit, held 8 December in Miami and also as a virtual livestream, attendees from inside and outside the traditional healthcare sector will learn what a massive wave of technology investments means for clinicians and patients alike. In DC, the Milken Institute Future of Health Summit runs 6-7 December and features speakers from across the for- and non-profit healthcare ecosystems. Bloomberg Sustainable Business Summit is set for 7 December, a date intentionally selected to follow COP27 and continue the important conversation of how business can drive a sustainable future. Finally, Adweek NexTech explores the latest media and marketing tech trends shaping the months ahead when it’s held 6-7 December in New York.
