Conference News: GITEX’s North Star; Teaching PE in London; CES CFP!
Global & Growing: In 2026, GITEX Global will be expanding its footprint and moving to the Dubai Exhibition Center. The dates will also shift from October to December (7 – 11). According to the conference organizers, the move to Expo City Dubai “unlocks expansive focus on future-critical industries such as Quantum, Data Centers, Digital Health, and Web 3.0, drawing cross-sector audiences and fostering greater collaboration.” The 2026 event will again co-locate with Expand North Star which is self-describes as “the go-to platform accelerating the world’s most promising startups and powering investment deal flow across the globe.”
A New PE Teacher: There has been a growing interest in Private Equity investments over the past few years, and several conferences have popped up to cover deal-making strategies, fund performance, and evolving capital markets. IQPC has just launched a new event that will take place in London this fall called Value Creation for Private Equity. Running from 14 – 15 October, it will offer “a value-packed platform for value creation leaders to exchange insights, navigate complexities and cross-pollinate strategies.” IQPC noted that “It also serves as a unique forum for PE operating partners and portfolio executives to collaborate and tackle today’s most pressing challenges together, with hard-hitting hands-on transformation experiences and real-world case studies.”
Submission Opportunity: CES 2026 (6 – 9 January in Las Vegas) is now accepting speaker suggestions for the panels on their many stages. In order to suggest someone you must explain the expert thought leadership they could bring to this panel based on several topics. Remember to complete the online form before the deadline on Thursday, 28 August! At ISACA’s 12th edition of the Governance, Risk, and Control/GRC Conference, attendees can choose from more than 40 sessions and earn CPE credits. The GRC Conference runs 18-20 August at the New York Marriott Marquis. And on 20 August, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will run a virtual session on the role of free trade in shaping markets, featuring a conversation between policy experts.
