SB is Fall-ing into June: Sustainable Brands, self described as “the premier global community of brand innovators who are reshaping the future of commerce worldwide,” hosts conferences around the globe. And big changes are coming to their flagship conference in 2026! SB’26 will return to the Town & Country Resort in San Diego – but the timing of the conference will shift from October to June for the first time. The conference organizers noted that the reason for this change was to give attendees “more time to integrate key insights into their annual planning cycles.” SB’26 will take place from 8 – 11 June.
Eating HLTH-ier: HLTH events bring together thousands of healthcare leaders, innovators, and thinkers to explore the latest trends, technologies, and solutions. Following the October edition of their US conference, the team announced a new way for these healthcare leaders to gather outside of the traditional events – Entrée dinners. According to the announcement, “Entrée is an exclusive dinner series for healthcare innovators,” which will “bring together senior executives for off-the-record conversations designed to spark connection, influence thinking, and accelerate partnerships.” There are a few different options on how you can engage, but details may be found here.
Submission Opportunity: NAB Show – self-described as not just a trade show, but a global launchpad for ideas, tools and deals that drive the media and entertainment economy forward – is scheduled for 18-22 April in Las Vegas. Now through 14 November, NAB is accepting speaker proposals through two separate processes for the 2026 show. First is the General Submission process, which solicits speakers for conference sessions, panels, and show floor theaters that share “real-world success stories and transformative case studies.” Proposals for NAB’s Broadcast Engineering and IT/BEIT Conference are reviewed through a separate process that seeks technology application topics geared toward broadcast engineers within the broader media and IT ecosystem.
Lunchtime Learning: During Climate week, The New York Times’s presented their Climate Forward event, to investigate “what comes next for our rapidly warming planet.” Speakers included: Gov. Gavin Newsom of California being interviewed by New York Times reporter David Gelles; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, who announced plans to cut emissions by at least 62 percent relative to 2005 levels in the next decade; Senator Brian Schatz, Democrat of Hawaii, on why his party should change the way it talks about climate change; And Bob Mumgaard, the chief executive of Commonwealth Fusion Systems, on why fusion can work.
