Brand Innovation in the Big Apple: The team behind the Chief Digital Officer Global Forum and Appnation Conference have announced that they will host an inaugural, by-invitation-only Chief Digital Officer (CDX) Brand Innovation Summit at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park in New York City from 21 – 22 April. This “private, peer-based digital leadership forum” will focus on “how current and emerging digital platforms, technologies, and devices are transforming marketing communications, the customer journey and consumer experience, and the broader enterprise.” More information can be found here.

Better Together: This year the Embedded Linux Conference will be co-located with the OpenIoT Summit, bringing together more than 800 system architects, firmware developers, software developers and application developers from 25+ countries.  The organizers made the decision to co-locate in order to “extend its scope to include user-space developers, the people building applications on embedded Linux, and to be the preeminent space for product vendors and kernel and systems developers to collaborate with these influential technologists.”  Conference dates are 4 – 6 April in San Diego.

Techonomy Times Two: After hosting four conferences in 2015, the team behind Techonomy has decided to focus on only two events in 2016. In addition to its flagship conference, which will still be held in Half Moon Bay in November, the organization will host a new one-day forum in New York on 26 May. It will highlight “the impact of tech and increasing interconnection on the economy.” This will be the first time Techonomy will host a conference in New York.

Speaking Opportunity:  Organized by the National Retail Federation, Shop.org Digital Summit attracts more than 5000 attendees who are “retail digital marketing, merchandising, and IT leaders and top industry business partners from around the world.” The event is currently seeking speaker proposals on a variety of topics related to advancing the digital retail industry. Speaker submissions are due by 23 February and must be made via the National Retail Federation’s online form.

Lunchtime Learning: Straight-shooting, visionaries Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher created Re/code Code Conference in 2014 after many years at The Wall Street Journal.  Since then, the event has featured dozens of stellar speakers including the CEOs of Target Corporation, Comcast, Intel, CBS, Snapchat, Dropbox and more. Watch these and other speakers take the stage to discuss the hottest tech trends.

Coming Up Next: Next week Kidscreen Summit happens in Miami; Digital Entertainment World will be in Los Angeles; and the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) India Leadership Forum in Mumbai.
