Changes at AMR: As I mentioned a few weeks ago, J.D. Power is currently planning the agenda for their Annual Automotive Marketing Roundtable (AMR), scheduled for 24 – 25 October in Las Vegas.  This year, they have made a few notable changes to the program.  The 2017 event will feature two days of both general sessions and breakout sessions, in order to fit more, focused content into each day.  Also, for the first time this year, J.D.Power will be bringing non-auto speakers to the main stage (in addition to OEMs and other automotive industry leaders). Already announced are speakers from the NFL, Disney, Ford and 20th Television!

YouTube Live!?: For the first time ever, YouTube and VidCon, the online video conference, are teaming up to create a live entertainment showcase. Together they will host a stage at VidCon that will include appearances by “top creators, musical performances, unexpected collaborations, and feature all the biggest and best talent that YouTube has to offer.”

Speaking Opportunity: The GSMA has announced that their Mobile 360 Series – Europe will return to Brussels on 17 October. Focusing on “how the region can work together to ensure a regulatory framework that achieves digital leadership for Europe through mobile sector growth and innovation,” the event will gather network operators, government and regulatory officials. Speaker proposals will be accepted until 22 September 2017 and more information may be found here.

Lunchtime Learning: One of the largest global events covering payments and financial services innovation is Money 20/20.  Happening in Europe each spring and Las Vegas each fall, the conference attracts visionary speakers who can address “connected commerce at the intersection of mobile, retail, marketing services, data and technology.”  If you were not lucky enough to have been one of the more than 10,000 attendees at a past Money 20/20, you can watch previous speakers and sessions on their YouTube page.  Check out the excitement here.

Coming up Next: Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE) will be in Chicago next week, bringing together thousands of industry professionals to discuss the latest in online retail strategies, online commerce trends and marketing.  In Hong Kong, MIT Technology Review will host its annual global emerging technologies conference, EmTech, highlighting the regional leaders who are “driving the next generation of technological breakthroughs and changing the world.” Billed as “the West Coast’s most important and valuable unscripted entertainment conference,” Realscreen West will begin its annual gathering at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica on 6 June. New Orleans will welcome the American Advertising Federation, as they gather members and advertising professionals for three days of education, inspiration, innovation, collaboration and celebration at their Admerica! Conference. And finally, in Sofia, Bulgaria, DigitalK, the annual two-day technology conference, organized by the Bulgarian business newspaper Capital Weekly will ask creative professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, and marketing executives to share their thoughts on the future of the web.
