An Eye for Travel Transformation: The digital transformation that is changing every industry is also effecting how travel is sold. For that reason, Eye for Travel has added a new conference to its lineup for 2017, Digital Strategies for Travel Summit 2017.  This conference, taking place from 29 – 30 November in Amsterdam, will cover topics such as: The holistic approach to digital strategy; Democratizing AI; How to differentiate your app; and Positioning yourself in a voice controlled world.

Announcing ConnecTechAsia: Based on the respond to “the expanded needs of the tech and comminications community to see, discover, and experience more of the solutions today that effect business tomorrow,” the team behind CommunicAsia is giving the conference a brand.  Following the recently concluded conference, the team unveiled a new conference name, ConnectTechAsia, which will encompass CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia, and their newest event NXTAsia. The goal is to cover the “entire spectrum of communication, broadcast, and enterprise technology and services reflecting the pulse of Asia today.”  The 2018 event will take place from 26 – 28 June in Singapore.

Speaking Opportunity: The HIMSS Annual Conference brings together more than 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world to hear case studies about the optimal use and value of health IT. The conference producers are now accepting speaker proposals and are most interested in sessions that: Demonstrate the adoption and best use of health IT and management systems; Relate to real-world accomplishments and challenges; Highlight best practices and beneficial uses of health IT via case studies; Showcase transformative change in health and healthcare through IT. Submit speaker proposals by 17 July.

Lunchtime Learning: Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd held its inaugural Gateway conference in Detroit a couple weeks ago. This event was aimed at helping U.S. business to boost exports to China and attracted approximately 1000 attendees. According to Alibaba founder and chairman Jack Ma, “the Chinese market presents tremendous opportunities for U.S. small businesses and farmers to grow their businesses, and in turn, create more U.S. jobs.” Videos from the event, including an interview between Charlie Rose and Ma can be found here.

Coming up next week: RISE, produced by the team behind Web Summit, is held in Hong Kong starting 11 July. The goal of this fast-growing conference is to provide attendees the opportunity to learn about every major industry touched by technology. In|Vest will run for a third year in NYC from 11-12 July. Attracting approximately 1,000 from the wealth management community, In|Vest is produced by SourceMedia, publishers of American Banker and Bank Investment Consultant. The National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) are combining their annual meetings to form the National Principals Conference, held for the first time this year. This event begins on 9 July in Philadelphia.
