Let’s Brainstorm!: A new addition to the Fortune Brainstorm lineup has been announced for 2018: Brainstorm Design!  The new conference, which will be held in Singapore from 6 – 8 March, will explore “the increasingly crucial nexus between business and design.” Brainstorm Design will be the first example of Time Inc. combining “the editorial wisdom and resources of three of its biggest brands: Fortune, TIME and Wallpaper.” (Wallpaper is Time Inc’s publication focusing on design and architecture, fashion, travel, art and lifestyle.)

Wonder Women in Washington D.C.: The Wonder Women Tech Global Summit has recently received sponsorship from the Office of Trade and Promotion in Washington D.C. In order to create the biggest impact with their support, Wonder Women Tech has decided to move the East Coast event, originally scheduled for this fall, to 26 January 2018.  The Global Summit will offer a day of talks and impactful discussion with global innovators, C-suites, CEO’s, Diversity and Inclusion warriors, policy makers, international thought leaders, and innovators in STEAM industries from around the world.  Next door to the Summit, there will also be a Career Fair and Expo free and open to the public.

Speaking Opportunity: If you are interested in speaking at the ninth-annual Smart Energy Summit, happening from 19 – 21 February 2018 in Austin, Texas, submit your speaker proposal by 20 November. Coming up next week: Nearly 10,000 attendees head to New York for “five days of inspiration and creativity” at the Fast Company Innovation Festival. Started in 2015 to celebrate magazine’s 20th anniversary, the program features a 200-strong speaker lineup of movers and shakers from tech, business, media, pop culture, and the nonprofit world. Venture Beat Summit 2017 kicks off 23 October in Berkeley for an invite-only audience. Under the theme “Riding the AI Wave,” this year’s agenda will examine how senior product, brand, innovation, marketing execs can use AI to extract real ROI for their companies. The Mobile Games Forum runs 24 – 25 October in Seattle and explores how mobile game studios and publishers can improve their monetization channels, user engagement levels, and design/development. And on 27 October, educators and technology coordinators meet at the Computer-Using Educators (CUE) Fall Conference in Napa Valley. CUE’s organizers advise checking the website for the latest, but at this point they are monitoring fire conditions and plan to move forward with the program.
