Virtually not Happening: The VRTL Media Summit, which was founded a few years ago by Ned Sherman Chairman and Founder of Digital Media Wire and Sunny Dhillon, founder and partner of Signia Ventures, will not take place in 2019. Previously held in November, the event considered how innovative content is produced, funded, consumed, and marketed – through the lenses of AR/VR, AI (voice/vision), blockchain applications, and digitally native brands. Digital Media Wire will be including more AR/VR content in their other events such as Digital Entertainment World, LA Games and Future of Television. The summit may return in 2020 and if so, we will be sure to cover it here.

Provoking Change: The team behind the Holmes Report and its events announced that in 2020, the Innovation Summit will rebrand under Holmes Report’s flagship brand PRovoke. The Innovation Summit will now become PRovoke: The North America PR Summit, which will take place on February 12, 2020 at the Langham Hotel in Chicago.  PRovoke20 & Global SABRE Awards will continue to take place in October 2020.
