Traveling with the Sun: CNBC has hosted several of its Evolve conferences over the past few years featuring iconic global companies and executives who are embracing change and transforming for the future. On 16 June, CNBC Business News Worldwide will leverage its global roster of anchors and reporters to lead conversations across multiple time zones during the first CNBC Evolve Global Summit. Interviews will be conducted in various world regions, beginning in APAC, moving into EMEA and onto the Americas. According to the conference organizers, this will “reflect the borderless nature of business today.”

Provoking Content: Previously known as the Holmes Report, PRovoke Media will partner with the International Communications Consultancy Association (ICCO) to develop a hybrid event as part of the Cannes Lions festival this June. Since Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity (21-25 June 2021) will be digital first, PRovoke and ICCO’s Cannes Condensed event will take place on 24 June. According to the press release, the event “will involve the creation of a news studio – likely to be based on the south coast of the UK in Brighton, restrictions permitting – with in-person socially-distanced panel sessions and a small “live studio audience” made up of event partners.” The entire event will be streamed for the global PR industry and will feature on-to-one interviews with speakers from North America and Asia-Pacific. They will also announce the winners of the official Young PR Lions competition during the day’s programme.

Submission Opportunity: Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) was designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Technologists across all experience levels attend GHC, which in 2021 will be held 26-29 September in a predominantly virtual format. Want to become a speaker? Prepare to get specific about your session’s objectives. Tracks run from the technical (like AI, data science & VR/AR) to career development to product management. Each session format corresponds to unique requirements, including a paper abstract that should be a minimum of two full pages. Learn more here, but don’t procrastinate: Submissions close promptly at 5pm PT on Wednesday 28 April.

Lunchtime Learning: The Shift series of events began 9 years ago as a single developer conference hosted by Startup Codeanywhere. It grew from a single conference, with the intent to bring investors and entrepreneurs to Croatia (their home country) to a series of three events: Shift Dev (developers), Shift Money (fintech), and the newest addition in 2020 – Shift AI. In order to adjust to the pandemic, the conference hosted Shift Remote, a series of live streamed events, consisting of both educational and inspirational talks, along with Q&As held by leading Developers. The series is focused on a wide variety of developer topics, each event in the series having their own sub topic; JS, CSS, DevOps, AI and others. Check them all out here.

ThriveFest (19-21 April) provides women in business, including entrepreneurs, the opportunity to rediscover their motivation, foster relationships, and develop stronger and more dynamic careers. At DigiPublish, to be held on 20 April, digital publishing experts will learn from peers on topics like podcast strategy, establishing an engaged audience with data, and creative storytelling in the digital age. The Forbes CIO Summit Series will broadcast Episode 2, which highlights how tech leaders are building future-fit software development strategies while also taking smart steps to defend systems against cyberattacks, on 22 April. Lastly, Digital Transformation Week runs 20-22 April as a virtual, European-centric event designed for CTOs, CIOs, and other IT executives responsible for making investment and strategy decisions or building and executing pioneering projects within their organization.
