From Farm to Forum: In 2022 Reuters is adding a new event dedicated to uniting industry leaders from across the food and agricultural industries to challenge what’s possible and develop a roadmap for a new sustainable and inclusive food system. Transform Food USA will be held in Chicago from 1 – 2 November and expects approximately 300 attendees for two days of learning and networking. The agenda will share case studies and insights on the economic shifts, supply chain advances and technological disruptions that are impacting the industry. 

Startups Save the Planet: TechCrunch is hosting its first-ever climate tech summit on 14 June at UC Berkley and virtually on 16 June. TC Sessions: Climate 2022 — in-person at UC Berkley on June 14 with a virtual event to follow on June 16. According to the conference organizers, speakers will include “early-stage founders, CEOs, scientists, researchers, engineers, VCs and red tape-cutting reps from government agencies, ESGs, nonprofits and research centers.” They will also feature the demo and expo area featuring climate tech products, solutions and startups.

Speaking Opportunity: All Day DevOps (ADDO) is a free conference that streams content live for 24 hours online. The event was virtual even before COVID, and last year gathered nearly 25,000 DevOps professionals for free, hands-on education from 180+ speakers, along with peer-to-peer insights and networking with professionals worldwide. The agenda typically features speakers who are leading DevOps transformations, professionals sharing lessons-learned from real-world projects, and participation from organizations just getting started. If you have a talk that might fit within one of the 6 tracks defined for 2022 (Modern Infrastructure; DevSecOps and Automated Security; CI/CD – Continuous Everything; Cultural Transformation; SRE – Site Reliability Engineering; Open Source and the World) suggest it here before the 31 May deadline.

Lunchtime Learning: Interaction conference reflects on how technology and design are shaping the world moving forward by building bridges across cultures, disciplines and industries to reach shared goals. Last year’s conference was held under the theme “Design during perilous times” which considered the designer’s place during the pandemic. So this year’s event, which was held from 28 February – 5 March considered “One year on, what have we learned?” Watch the sessions online here to learn how:  Resilient communities embrace ambiguity; The redesign of systems and structures based on the new essentials; and how the best leaders take care of the team and themselves.

Coming Up Next Week: A lot has changed since the last time TED Conference was held in-person in Vancouver three years ago. TED 2022 (10-14 April) returns to the PNW and will cover the extraordinary developments in medicine, AI, clean energy, and the ways we work, the ways we learn, and in the fundamental economic and social systems that underpin everything else. The Association of National Advertisers’ Brand Masters Conference will be held in hybrid format this year, 11-13 April in San Diego and online, where delegates will gather to hear brand leaders share how they’re using their marketing voice to serve customers, communities, and society. Women Transforming Technology Conference/WT2 is a fully virtual program that will run 11-12 April, convening around 5,000 attendees at all career stages to partake in the theme “Elevating Joy.” Another women-centric leadership event, Simmons Leadership Conference (13 April) will also run virtually in 2022. Finally, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Privacy Summit celebrates its return to in-person programming, with training, workshops, and a conference spanning 10-13 April in Washington, DC.
