An Excellent (new) Adventure for TED: This year the TED Conference team will debut TED Tech, happening from 18 – 19 September at the Southbank Centre London. This new TED event for 2023 will bring together artists and builders, technologists and entrepreneurs to explore the intersection of tech and creativity. Day one will be dedicated to inspiring TED Talks, connections and new discoveries, followed by Culture3 Curated, a day of interactive sessions to explore real-world applications, activations, art exhibits and hands-on workshops.  TED expects approximately 1500+ in the audience which like all TED events will include a mix of technologists, influencers, investors, media, creators and academics.

New ESG event: Modev was started in 2008 as a Meetup Group but has since expanded to create conference series such as the Voice and EXO Summits.  This year they plan to add a new event to their lineup – the ESG Tech Summit (#ESGT23). According to the conference organizers, ESG Tech will bring together “the tech industry, ESG, CSR and sustainability leaders, innovators, investors, regulators, and policy decision makers to seize the opportunity and strengthen the sustainable technology ecosystem.” The event will be held in Arlington, VA from 4 – 6 December.

Speaking Opportunity: LinkedIn Talent Connect has grown and evolved into a hybrid experience, running the week of 2 October in NYC and online. The summit will feature a variety of sessions including roundtable discussions, workshops, breakouts, and keynotes throughout the Javits Center, for the by-invitation in-person audience and also streamed to a virtual audience. Want to be considered to speak and receive entry to all Talent Connect programming? Propose your topic now through 2 June. Organizers are most interested in sessions covering skills, talent acquisition/retention, talent development/internal mobility, DEI, workplace culture, and emerging technology.

Lunchtime Learning: To ensure a future where humans and algorithms can productively and safely co-exist, festival producer SXSW believes we need more meetings like those held at the White House in May with the CEOs of Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI, as well as strong regulatory actions. Recently SXSW shared what they consider some of the best sessions covering AI from the 2023 gathering to help us all gain a better understanding of the current state of things and inform society on the path forward. Check out these videos to understand how to use AI to: Build a company; Combat climate change; Create products of the future; Reshape society; Impact the film & TV industry; Support human culture & artistry; and much, much more.
