Conference News: GreenBiz and AdExchanger Get Updates; DLD Gets Wild

Learn About Speaker Strategies

The Format is Debatable: Trellis Media is mixing up the format of their sessions at flagship conference GreenBiz next month. The conference, happening in Phoenix from 17 – 19 February will include a new mainstage format called Debatable. The idea is to explore the complexity of tough and timely tropics by asking questions the provide insight into various perspectives. This aligns with a trend that Speaker Strategies has seen to offer new ways for conference attendees to consider novel ideas and meet new people. As the Trellis team noted so poignantly, Debatable “isn’t about winning a side. It’s about understanding what holds up in practice, and what no longer serves a purpose.”

An Even Ad-Exchange: The Chief Marketer Network recently announced that it would be unifying the content of AdMonsters and AdExchanger moving forward. AdMonsters will retain its community-driven identity and practitioner-first voice as a foundational community within AdExchanger. They also noted that as part of the new integration, “AdMonsters’ content will now have a larger presence at all AdExchanger events.” And that “Publishers will have the same intimate community-driven elements they have come to know and love, but will now have more accessible opportunities to learn, connect, engage and grow.”

Submission Opportunity: IAPP Privacy. Security. Risk. + AI Governance Global will again cover the impact of technology on privacy, AI governance, cybersecurity law and more when it holds its annual conference from 6-9 October in Seattle. The conference is currently seeking speakers who can address one of the following suggested topics (as well as seeking new ideas related to these subjects): AI governance program implementation; Data governance; Global regulatory trends in privacy, AI governance, and cybersecurity law; Compliance; U.S. State AI & privacy enforcement; Cybersecurity; and Risk management in privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance. If you have an idea for a session, submit here before the 1 March deadline.

Lunchtime Learning: DLD Munich always precedes the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and as one of this year’s speakers noted, it offers an “intellectual vacation prior to heading off to the World Economic Forum.” This year’s DLD motto was It’s Gonna Be Wild!  The conference organizers believe in architecting serendipity and stated that “the “wild” isn’t just chaos, it’s the electric space where a provocative keynote sparks a debate, and a new insight is challenged and built upon in the hallways.” See some of this happen on stage in sessions such as Vibe Design: Turning Emotions and Voice into Next-Level Creativity, Humans, Machines, and the Future of Work and Climate, Calories & Code: Hacking the Future of Food.

Coming Up Next Week: On the heels of Davos, the Conference Board holds 2026: A Year in Preview from 27-28 January stateside at the St. Regis Hotel in New York. The Conference Board calls A Year in Preview an “exclusive, annual gathering of CEOs and C-Suite thought leaders for peer-to-peer discussions and mobilization for the year (or two) ahead.” At Orlando’s Commercial Space Week (27-30 January), leaders from government, military, and commercial sectors convene for four days of strategy, collaboration, and innovation. Anchored by SpaceCom Space Congress – which connects buyers and engineers with an expo and conference program from the 28-30 – the week also includes the Space Mobility Conference featuring mission-driven solutions from the U.S. Space Force, DoD, and commercial partners, as well as the invite-only GSA SpacePort Summit for dialogue advancing global spaceport infrastructure.
