Uniting to Celebrate a Decade: World Summit AI/WSAI Amsterdam will celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, from 7-8 October at Amsterdam’s Taets Art & Event Park. The self-described centerpiece of World AI Week, WSAI anchors a city-wide programme of more than a hundred partner-led events across the city. For the special milestone anniversary, WSAI is doubling the expo floor, expanding workshop programming, and expects more than 10,000 attendees. Organizers explain, “We’re focusing our energy on creating one powerful, truly global meeting point in Amsterdam — uniting founders, enterprises, investors, researchers and policymakers from across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia under one roof.”
FYI on ATO: After considering feedback from partners and previous attendees, All Things Open (ATO) has announced a change to their conference format for 2026. Not only will all sessions be live (no more virtual presentations), but they will also modify the conference schedule. On day one, Monday, 19 October ATO will host several co-located events (Community Leadership Summit, Inclusion & Diversity, Major League Hacking AI Roadshow/Hackathon), 5-8 minute Lightning Talks, and extended hands-on workshops. Then on the second day, Tuesday, 20 October the traditional conference sessions will take place – keynotes, featured presentations and and session talks spanning 20+ tracks.
Submission Opportunity: To manage today’s threats, security practitioners—from entry-level admins to senior leadership—must have the skills to be both a business partner and business enabler and the technical skills to prevent, detect and respond to security challenges. InfoSec World (12 – 14 October; Orlando) aims to help practitioners stay on top of the latest trends. If you are a security professional or technologist, or even a business strategist and have a topic that fits into one of this year’s themes (Adaptive resilience; AI Centric enterprise; Interconnected risk; Continuous compliance; Human+Machine synergy), then now is your chance to propose a session idea. Infosec World will be accepting speaker suggestions until 27 March.
Conference Manager Q&A: Daniel Cahill is the new Content & Programme Director at Dublin Tech Summit, which returns to the RDS Dublin on 27 & 28 May. Since DTS is celebrating its 10th anniversary, we chatted with Daniel about his new role and plans for this year’s conference.
Speaker Strategies: What about your next event excites you the most? As this is my first event as Content & Programming Director for Dublin Tech Summit, I’m especially excited to see the curated agenda come to life, what began as ideas on a page becoming real conversations on stage with some of the most influential voices in tech. It may sound cliché, but it genuinely feels like a pivotal moment for the industry. Technology now shapes nearly every facet of modern life, and it’s impossible to ignore the pace at which it’s evolving. The conversations happening on stage don’t just impact the tech sector, they affect all of us.
Speaker Strategies: What is the most important trait of a good speaker? The best speakers are receptive to feedback and see the speaking opportunity as a chance to share the real lessons and insights that shaped their journey, not just the polished highlights. It’s important to focus on the audience: What will genuinely hold their attention for 30 minutes? If social media has taught us anything, it’s that attention is earned, not assumed. Trim the fat, be your own editor, and make every minute count.
Speaker Strategies: What is the most important piece of a successful presentation abstract/topic description? The abbreviation ABC comes to mind: be accurate, brief and concise. A strong abstract clearly outlines what the speaker will deliver and, most importantly, what the audience will walk away with. Clarity, relevance and restraint always win.
Speaker Strategies: Are you doing anything special for DTS’ 10th anniversary? Absolutely. A decade is a significant milestone, particularly in tech. Over that time, Ireland has cemented its place as a key player in the global tech ecosystem, and Dublin Tech Summit has grown alongside Dublin’s rise as an international tech hub. This year, we’re spotlighting the new generation of changemakers driving some of the most important conversations in technology and society. And of course, it wouldn’t be a 10th anniversary without a few surprises along the way!
Coming Up Next Week: SXSW continues through next Wednesday 18 March in Austin, and while many tracks run the entire week, sessions that are part of the Design and Health tracks don’t start until Monday. SXSW’s Emerging Tech Expo also kicks off on Monday. UNLEASH America, which takes place at the Caesars Forum in Las Vegas 17-19 March, promises an experience “where the world’s HR and business leaders come together to do business and discover inspirational stories that change the way organizations think about HR and innovation.” MIT Technology Review’s EmTech Europe is held 19-20 March in Athens, featuring research scientists and executives from Meta, Google DeepMind, and Mastercard to address unlocking innovation in an age of intelligent technologies. Now powered by CALIE, Spring CUE (19-21 March; Palm Springs) brings together educators from across the country to connect, learn, and inspire. And on 19 March at Apella by Alexandria New York, STAT Breakthrough Summit East will spotlight discoveries and ideas driving the next wave of medicine amidst the recent sweeping changes to the health care industry.
