Learn About Speaker Strategies

Get on Board: Board is a new event happening from 22 – 24 March in Monaco. The team behind this conference plans to convene Europe’s most ambitious business leaders, investors, and strategists to build relationships, share knowledge, and unlock the capital and partnerships needed to scale. Gathering investors, CEOs/Founders, Board members and non-exec directors from across the continent, the event will consider topics across five content pillars including: Investment, M&A and Raising Capital; AI & Technology; Risk, Security and Resilience: Governance, Accountability & Board Dynamics; and Strategy, Leadership & Human Capital.

Tech Week Takes on China: Event giant Informa has announced that they will be hosting the inaugural Hongqiao Tech Week by Informa Markets China. The goal of the event, which is scheduled for 20–22 November 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, is to “unite global enterprises, visionary leaders, startups, investors, and technology solution providers to unlock growth opportunities and foster China-focused partnerships.” Under the theme “Where Global Tech Ambition Meets Chinese Scale,” the event will include six stages covering topics such as: AI, Future Mobility & Energy, Digital Infrastructure, Industry 4.0, Life Sciences & Health, and Startups.

Submission Opportunity: GreenBiz has opened its call for speakers with a deadline of 11 September. The event gathers thousands of sustainability leaders and practitioners including those working in “sustainability, corporate responsibility, impact, net zero, finance, environmental health and safety, communications and more” who will cover everything from “decarbonization and water to nature, finance, supply chains, communications, and change management.” GreenBiz offers great tips for how to increase your chances of acceptance, including: “The ‘how’—the practical steps, strategies, and insights—offers the most value to our audience and drives impactful conversations.” And “Our priority is to feature speakers and sessions that introduce new perspectives and advance the conversation.” And finally, “We are committed to fostering dialogue among, and elevating leadership from diverse backgrounds…specifically looking to prioritize speakers who are Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) in the program… ensuring that the conference — and the industry — reflects the world in which we live.”

Lunchtime Learning: The AI for Good conference is organized by ITU in partnership with over 50 UN partners and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland in order to identify innovative AI applications, building skills and standards, and advancing partnerships to solve global challenges.  Preparations are already underway for the AI for Good Global Summit 2027, taking place the week of 21–25 June 2027 in Geneva, Switzerland. Until then, stay connected with the AI for Good community by checking out the latest AI for Good sessions online. Sessions explore topics such as “Who should oversee AI?”, “ AI and human creativity” and “AI genomics and the next era of medicine.”

Coming Up Next Week: The organizers of eTail East (10-12 August; Boston) have been hosting events “where America’s retailers meet and learn” since 1999. Next week’s agenda promises attendees conversations, real-world lessons, and ideas that drive action around powering growth. DEF CON 34 got underway yesterday (6 August) in Las Vegas but runs through Sunday for well over 20k attendees from the hacker community. DEF CON’s organizers recently announced that glasses with recording capabilities are prohibited at this year’s event. Corporate Events Marketing Association/CEMA Summit runs 9-11 August at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, promising to bring the world of event marketing together to compare strategies and unpack best practices. Finally, the IEEE Young Professionals (YP) Summit kicks off today, hosted at Boston University and exploring the transformative role of technology with the theme, “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Human Work.”
